🔗ABOUT ICE OUT FOR GOOD - FROM THE 50501 MOVEMENT
On Wednesday, January 7th, an American citizen was murdered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th, and Sunday, January 11th, to demand accountability, honor the lives lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.
In Raleigh, we are gathering on the sidewalks of Capital Blvd. on Sunday, January 11th, from 12–2 PM for a visibility event that mirrors the powerful collective action organized during our No Kings events in June 2025 and October 2025. Participants will assemble with signs, banners, and chants to demand that ICE be removed from our communities and held accountable for systemic violence, including the recent killing of Renee Nicole Good by ICE agent Johnathan Ross in Minneapolis—a killing that has sparked nationwide demonstrations under the ICE Out For Good Weekend of Action and made visible the human cost of violent, authoritarian, and inhumane immigration enforcement.
Our actions in Raleigh will maintain the nonviolent discipline and strategic visibility that have defined our prior demonstrations. By bringing awareness to the broader public about the murder of Renee Good and the countless lives lost to ICE, we will make tangible the demand that ICE must be out for good.
🤝Special Request: We need your help. Due to the rapid planning of this national call to action, we need your help spreading the word about this weekend’s demonstration. Time and time again, the number one way that attendees find out about these demonstrations is through word of mouth, which is where you come in. Word-of-mouth information dissemination is singlehandedly our most powerful tool for rapid communication on a mass scale, so if you can, please spread the word.

I will be there!
