🚨 EMERGENCY PROTESTS ACROSS NORTH CAROLINA STARTING JANUARY 8TH 🚨
In response to the killing of Legal Observer Renee Nicole Good by ICE Agents in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Today, January 7, ICE officers shot and killed Renee Nicole Good, a legal observer, during operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Video footage directly contradicts ICE’s claim that the shooting was carried out in self-defense. The footage shows ICE agents denying Renee Nicole Good access to medical care. An off-duty physician repeatedly attempted to provide assistance and was blocked by ICE agents, who at one point drew their weapons on him. When EMS arrived approximately 15 minutes later, ICE vehicles obstructed access to the scene. Paramedics were forced to approach on foot, where CPR was attempted, but was unsuccessful.
In response, demonstrations are taking place across North Carolina. We demand the immediate removal of ICE from our neighborhoods and an end to the kidnapping, terrorization, and killing of our neighbors under the guise of immigration enforcement.
Below are details for actions being held in Asheville, Beaufort, Cary, Chapel Hill, Charlotte (7), Durham (2), Fayetteville (2), Fuquay-Varina, Greensboro, Spindale, Waynesville, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem (2). This is an evolving list, and additional demonstrations may be added.
You may also consider donating to Renee Goods’ family on GoFundMe (this fundraiser has been fully vetted).

🚶🏽WINSTON-SALEM (Sat, Jan. 10th): March for Renee Good
This Saturday, Camel City United Indivisible is organizing a peaceful, community-led march and protest in downtown Winston-Salem to demand accountability, transparency, and justice in the face of actions by those in power that have shaken public trust and violated the basic principles of the rule of law.
At moments like this—when communities are being harmed, and truth is distorted—it is critical that our movements stand together. History shows that injustice and lawlessness are only confronted when people from different communities unite, show up publicly, and refuse to be silent.
🕑 Saturday, 2:00–4:00 PM
📍 Gather: Fourth Street & Broad Street
🚶🏽 March: Fourth & Broad → Fourth & Trade → return to Fourth & Broad.
✊🏽 Action: Peaceful march, chanting, signs, public visibility.
This action is peaceful, nonviolent, and rooted in the belief that no government is above accountability and no community should face injustice alone.

She turned the wheel in an attempt to NOT hit him and she didn't. He murdered her for nothing. Wake tf up.
Thank you for standing with us in Minnesota!!!! 😭😭✊🏻
